My only income is from social assistance (Persons with Disabilities benefits). If a creditor garnishes my bank account or "sets off" (take money from) the account to pay off my credit card or line of credit, can I get the money back? I need it to live on. Answer here and find out more.


In many communities across BC, legal aid intake workers are available at courthouses to take applications. To find out when and where they are available, contact your local legal aid office. The Supreme Court website has a new Scheduling page, where you can find links to PDF lists of available dates and times for civil or family trials, Registrar's hearings, judicial case conferences, and other useful information, such as how to book a lengthy Chambers hearing, for courts across the province.
