Family LawLINE

If you are a person with a low income experiencing a family law issue, you may be eligible for free legal advice over the telephone from a family lawyer.

Family LawLINE lawyers give brief "next step" advice about family law issues such as custody, access, guardianship, child support, spousal support, property division, family agreements, adoption, and court procedures. You may be able to get this help whether or not you qualify for a legal aid lawyer. See Do I qualify?

To be considered for this service, call the Provincial Call Centre (see below for hours). An intake worker will ask you questions about your financial situation and your legal issue. If you qualify, you'll be transferred to an available Family LawLINE lawyer.
